A Busy and Warm Wednesday in Tommas Oppus Philippines

The day started off in a rather lazy way, I woke up a little late and decided to get ready to go to the market… without taking a shower first. It was a bit funny, but that’s how it is. Together with my buddies , we took public transportation and continued on foot for a while until we finally arrived at the market.

At the market, we bought some cooking ingredients that had been planned in advance. The atmosphere was lively, typical of a traditional market full of color and aroma. After finishing shopping, we stopped by the mall to look around for a while, then went home by public transportation and bus.

Once I arrived at the cottage, I immediately started cooking for everyone. Today I made a simple stir-fried long beans, but cooked with lots of love. Meanwhile, the buddies bought us a special snack made from cocoa and eaten with sticky rice with a hint of ginger—a truly unique and warm combination. They also cooked us French fries , which were the perfect afternoon snack.

After eating and chatting about many things, I fell asleep for a while because I was tired. In the afternoon, I woke up and took a shower, washed clothes, and continued the day by working on the lesson plan . That night, we cooked and ate together again, enjoying a simple but pleasant togetherness.

After dinner, I continued my unfinished lesson plan , while taking the time to practice some songs. As it got late, I finally went to sleep with a tired body but a warm heart.





Not every day has to be spectacular to be memorable. Sometimes, simple days like these are the most heart-filling 😇

A Tiring But Memorable Day My first day in Tacloban marked the beginning of a truly memorable adventure. I arrived in the late afternoon with my friends and our lecturer. The airport atmosphere was calm, and we were warmly welcomed by Ma’am Lillian, the SEA-Teacher program coordinator, who personally came to pick us up.
